The first thing to state is that you receive a LOT of product with this kit and you absolutely must READ THE INSTRUCTIONS and allow yourself plenty of time to do the repair. It is a heat fixed process so you will need an iron or access to a heat source.

Additionally do the repair in daylight so that you get a good colour match - the instructions give basic mixing techniques, but the idea is to mix little by little to get the correct colour as it's easier to add than take away.

The repair liquid/gel remains in the same state until heat is applied which then cures it so you need to be a bit careful.

I found it better to apply several thin layers and repeat the process, removing excess of the repair gel as I went along.

Be aware that it's more than likely that the repair will not be invisible unless you really practise and get an exact colour and texture match but if you can live with a slight difference then you may well be able to either buff over the repair or use a shoe cream to blend it in.

I've now successfully repaired my husband's Doc Marten's boots, my fitflop shoes and a handbag scratch from one kit and there are still plenty of repairs left should I need to do them.
